The landscape of our inner narratives is a complex territory, brimming with stories waiting to be told, and emotions begging to be expressed. MOUTHFUL, the third episode of our fifth season of TALKING WHILE FCKD LIVE: THE STORYTELLING SESSIONS, delves into these uncharted territories. When I consider the theme "Mouthful," I am drawn to the unspoken words that lie heavily on the tip of my tongue, the inner baggage that is begging to be released for good.
In our teaser video, IN HERE THERE IS A DESERT, the poetic verses by Kelley Williams (Luna Ensemble Member and one of four storytellers being celebrated this evening… find out more about each of these powerhouses here) reverberate with the desolation of hidden thoughts, the persistent torment of unvoiced emotions. "Scorching a deep darkness that swirls round the thoughts that won’t cease," the words weave the inner struggles and resilience, painting a vivid picture of the mental landscape many of us navigate daily. This journey towards understanding and expressing our hidden thoughts, our unspoken truths, forms the crux of our upcoming episode.
Luna is founded on the principals that we are all born storytellers, are creative geniuses capable of transforming personal experiences into captivating carousels of reflection and lessons. In telling, we find clarity, catharsis, and a sense of connectedness with our listeners.
